So. I think it’s pretty evident that when there is a mid-week holiday I fall off the face of the [blogging] planet. I’d apologize, but I’m not really sorry because I was freaking swamped Tuesday, I was spending time with that boy Wednesday, and Thursday and Friday I was busy playing catch-up from the day off at work. And let’s be honest, we all know I don’t do any weekend blogging, even when the majority of my Saturday and Sunday is spent napping on the couch or wandering aimlessly around the house putting off ironing clothes [my most loathed chore]… which is pretty much exactly what I did this weekend.
With all of that not doing anything this weekend you would THINK that I would wake up rested and ready to tackle the day today. I did not. Instead I snoozed until the last possible second and then ran around trying to accomplish as much stuff as possible before work. This did not include showering. Sorry co-workers. Lucky for them I showered yesterday after I worked out and then I proceeded to do NOTHING for the rest of the day, so I don’t feel too bad about it.
Since hurtling myself out the door this morning I have had the biggest internal debate raging inside my head: to work out this afternoon or not? Groundbreaking stuff here, I know. My life is really hard. I’ve tried to give myself a lot of reasons why I don’t need to: calves are a little tight, it sounds boring, it’s stormy outside, I would rather lay on the couch and watch stupid TV, I should probably make dinner [never mind that working out and making dinner are both possible], etc.
So, I’m *hoping* this little piece of Monday Motivation gets me moving when I get home.
NO EXCUSES. Unless there’s wine…
I was supposed to run 7 miles yesterday and stayed on the sofa all day instead. I’m gonna keep your motivation in mind for this evening while i’m on the treadmill running those 7.
I think we all have those days, let it go and jam out the next!
I haven’t been running but seriously I’ve eaten less food (even though my pics might say otherwise) and I walk everywhere in the heat. So it’s kind of like a workout. Sometimes we walk a total of possibly 4 plus hours in a day.
GEEZE!! all that working is DEFINITELY a work out!! and all that food looks delicious
I hate ironing! I put off my workout until after work yesterday too. I didn’t feel like it but I was glad I did it. And I bet you were too.
Yay for 8 minute runs!!
i am going to begrudgingly admit that i AM glad that i did it. but i looooooooooooooathe it so much!!
The weather is killing my motivation and it’s suppose to last all week. Bummer.
